Have you ever taken the bait and gotten yourself tangled up in a scam operation? Let me tell you about the scam I fell for hook, line, and sinker. I was reading an article on the internet about a neurologist who was losing his wife to a progressive form of Alzheimer’s.
This scam artist claimed that inside his wife’s brain, nodules of sugar protein were wrapping themselves around sensitive areas of her brain that affected her memory. After months of painstaking laboratory research, he claimed he had formulated a special supplement that removed the sugar protein and began giving it to his wife. This was all a part of a 20-minute video where he introduced his miracle cure.
The supplement was shaped like a large pill and every evening before bedtime, you popped one in your mouth and let it dissolve. If you took one of these supplements every day for three months, you would feel your head clear and your memory return. I’m ashamed to tell you I bought a three-month supply for $180 which is why I want to inform you about six of the most common scams in Connecticut.
